Miura Stool Price GMD 2,000

Description

MIURA Bar Stool is an award-winning futuristic piece of furniture designed by Konstantin Grcic for Italian brand PLANK. A stunning stool highly resistant to all types of weather.

MIURA is stackable, it is made of Polypropylene reinforce with with glass fibbers and it is fully recyclable. This type of reinforced polypropylene is 2,5 times stronger than aluminium and is produced (injected) in one block.

The innovative injecting technology as well as the requirement to develop a barstool for contract and domestic environments, has led to the characteristic form of Miura.

"A commission from Plank to design a Monoblock bar stool in plastic was the perfect opportunity for me to re-invent my vocabulary of shapes. I was keen to move on from the hard edge to a much softer design. The MIURA stool is strongly based on principles of construction. However, its shape was conceived by working in a much more sculptural manner. The complex free-form surfaces were all designed on the computer" Konstantin Grcic.

The Miura stool features a faceted seat that maintains a pleasing visual connection to the raked vertical supports. It exemplifies Grcic's approach: Its iconic angular structure makes it extremely stable but, because it is made from a single piece of fibreglass-reinforced polypropylene, it flexes comfortably.

This stackable functional barstool is suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use and you can use almost everywhere.
